Brook Hill Farm

Rescue

Abused and neglected horses have found a safe haven at Brook Hill Farm for the past sixteen years. We serve as the local horse rescue for the surrounding area. Under the supervision of the veterinarian, farrier and volunteer staff, every attempt is made to bring these horses back to health.

This horse was brought to Brook Hill Farm with a hoof abcess. Upon closer veterinary examination the infection had spread into the bone. The wound was cleaned and bandaged, and the horse began a very long and slow recovery. This horse would never again carry a rider.

This horse was brought to the farm by a local veterinarian because the owner was unable to provide the intensive care that the horse required. At Brook Hill Farm, every effort is made to keep the horse happy and comfortable in the hopes of a full recovery.

This crippled foal was dropped off at Brook Hill Farm. We were able to use one of our resident mares to act as her foster mom, while she rehabilitated. Glenna was later adopted by a loving family. You can see Glenna at her new home on our Success Story page.

This palomino was found and brought to Brook Hill Farm by a localafter resident. When she arrived at the beforefarm in the winter, she was white and weighed only 750 lbs. By late summer, she had gained almost 400 lbs, along with getting a healthy new golden coat. She was later adopted into a loving home.

Brook Hill Farm is committed to providing a safe harbor for abused, neglected, and injured horses.
